Periodontal Consultation

This includes a full assessment, photos, OHI and full mouth X-rays. The periodontal consultation allows your dentist to examine the degree of damage gum disease has had on your soft tissues and jawbone and will determine the next steps to get your mouth healthy again.

Basic Stabilisation Treatment

This package includes 2 appointments over 2 months, during which your dentist will perform treatment known as root planing and debriding. This thorough cleaning method reaches problematic plaque under the gum line, which, if left untreated, could further deteriorate your gum line and enter the bloodstream (causing wider health complications).

Advanced Treatment

This type of periodontal treatment involves procedures including:

• Flap surgery: Exposes tooth roots to allow your dentist to reach underneath the gum line to clear away plaque more effectively.
• Functional crown lengthening surgery: Restores lost gum tissue that has been lost as a result of gum disease/overbrushing your teeth. This procedure reintroduces the protective gum tissue that covers the dentin, the portion of the tooth not covered by tooth enamel.
• Bone regeneration: If your jawbone has receded, a bone graft can build back lost areas of the jawbone.
